Advanced One Installation Procedures
Split System Heat Pump Installation
Booking:
You can schedule a job at your local store, where you’ll pay a 10% deposit. After booking, you’ll receive a copy of your invoice and a price list for potential extras. A technician will then be assigned to your installation and will contact you to schedule an installation date.
Pre-Installation Assessment:
When the installer arrives, they will assess the optimal placement of the indoor and outdoor units. The installer will determine the best locations for both the indoor and outdoor units to ensure maximum efficiency and aesthetic appeal. They will discuss any additional requirements, such as electrical upgrades or specific placement preferences. Different units have different allowances around both the head and compressor units, and the installer will advise you on these. If any upgrades are needed to comply with state and government regulations, the technician will ensure your installation is fully compliant.
Installation:
On the day of installation, the installer will take measures to protect your flooring with drop sheets or protective coverings. They will then drill holes for the electrical wiring and refrigerant lines, which connect the indoor unit to the outdoor unit. The indoor unit will be mounted on the chosen wall, and the outdoor unit will be positioned accordingly, often on an exterior wall directly behind the indoor unit for back-to-back installations. The units will be connected using the necessary wiring and copper piping. Once the physical installation is complete, the installer will test the system to ensure it is functioning correctly and efficiently. They will provide a demonstration on how to use the Heat Pump. Final payment will be processed the day of installation, and you will receive a nil balance invoice via email.
Additional Options for Heat Pump Installation
Decommission and/or Disposal: Our team decommission and dispose of your old split system Heat Pump during the installation process, ensuring environmentally responsible disposal. If you wish to keep the decommissioned unit, you may do so, and this will have no effect on the cost.
Wall Brackets (Supply & Install): We supply and install a wall bracket for the single fan outdoor unit, positioning it up to a maximum height of 1.8 meters off the ground. This is ideal for homes where ground placement is not feasible.
Outdoor Base or PVC Feet (per set) for Outdoor Compressor: We supply and install either Polyslab bases or PVC feet for your outdoor compressor unit. These supports ensure stability and proper functioning, even on uneven surfaces.
Double Story Install: For homes raised on stumps or double-story residences, especially installations on the second story, we provide additional piping, capping, and a condensate drain up to 5 meters to ensure proper functioning and safety.
Side Entry/Exit: The indoor unit will be installed on an internal wall in a corner with a side exit penetration. The maximum distance from the corner is 50mm, which helps in maintaining the aesthetic appeal of your interior.
Travel (Beyond 25km): For installations located beyond 25 kilometers from our service center, a travel charge applies at $2 per kilometer each way. This ensures our technicians can reach you no matter where you are. For example, if you are 30 kilometers away, the cost would equal $20.00.
Extra Refrigeration Pipe/Capping: If your installation requires more than 3 meters of refrigeration pipe and capping, additional lengths can be supplied and installed. This is charged per meter to cover longer distances between indoor and outdoor units.
Double Brick: Specialized installation services for split systems into double brick walls. This involves creating penetrations that maintain the structural integrity and appearance of your home.
Extra Electrical Cable (per meter ): If your installation needs more than the standard meters of electrical cable, we can supply additional lengths. This is charged per meter to accommodate longer runs between units and power sources.
Additional Drainpipe (per meter, after 4 meters per install): Additional drainpipe can be supplied and installed if your installation requires more than the standard 4 meters. This ensures efficient drainage and prevents water damage.
Capping Elbow/Bend on Capping/Flexi Duct (each): We provide and install capping elbows, bends on capping, or flexible ducts as needed for your installation. These components help in routing pipes neatly and securely.
Extra Electrical Cable with Conduit (per meter): For installations requiring additional protection, we supply extra electrical cable with conduit. This is especially useful for outdoor or exposed areas, ensuring safety and durability.
Condensate Pump: If a condensate pump is required for your installation, routine maintenance is essential to keep it functioning properly. Failure to maintain the pump will void the warranty. Please refer to the manual or contact the installer for detailed maintenance instructions.
Nitrogen Flush: Utilizing existing copper piping, a nitrogen flush service ensures the pipes are clean and free of contaminants before installation. Please note, this process may void manufacturer warranties, and customers are informed of this condition.
Other Additional Charges
Please note that there may be additional charges for items not listed here. For example, roof brackets, roof installations, double brick, work in ceilings, and restricted access areas may incur extra costs. Our technician will discuss any additional requirements and costs with you during the pre-installation assessment to ensure transparency.
